Tamer Mohsen trained as an architect before studying directing at the Higher Institute of Cinema, and began in documentary before moving to drama.
From Bedoon Zekr Asmaa (2013) and Taht El Saytara (2015) to Hatha El Masaa (2017) — Best Series, Best Director and Best Screenplay at Egypt's Cinema Syndicate Awards — and Newton's Cradle (2021), the most-awarded work at the inaugural Arab Drama Critics Awards.
He founded Film Khana in Cairo in 2022.
